ERIN MORGAN

She is passionate about creating space for people to experience the presence of the Lord. Her relationship with the Lord has existed as long as she can remember. Erin loves utilizing tools like meditation to help herself, and others, find moments of stillness and connection with the Lord. In her free time Erin can be found hanging out with her daughter Emelia, husband Eli and her very fat cat Mushu.

CAPTAIN DARELL HOUSETON

Born and raised Newark, NJ, Darell grew up at the Newark Westside Corps. He was afforded the opportunity to work at Camp Tecumseh in 2004 and saw his life really take off as a follower of Jesus. Since that summer, he never looked back. He was called to officership in his second year of college and was commissioned in 2012 as a Friend of Christ. He is married to Capt. Willow Houseton. Together they have two beautiful and smart daughters, 8 year old, Winter J. Houseton and 5 year old, Zion I. Houseton. Currently, the Housetons are serving as Divisional Youth and Candidate Secretaries for the SWONEKY Division.

CAPTAIN GILBERTO RIVERA

Gilberto Rivera is of Puerto Rican parents but was born in Hartford, Connecticut. He grew up in The Salvation Army since early childhood, between Puerto Rico, New Jersey and Greater New York Division. He met Lord at the age of 6 in a children’s rally and recommitted his life to the Lord at the age of 16 at a Youth Councils, where he also received his calling to become a Salvation Army officer. Three words that have been with Gilberto since the beginning are Believe, Trust, and Obey. These have been his anchor with Koorelyn, through life and ministry each day. Gilberto’s life verse is: “The Lord is my light and my salvation- whom shall, I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life- of whom shall I be afraid?”. Together with his wife Koorelyn, the Riveras have three beautiful children, Jayden (10), Joshua (7), and Jazmine (4) who light up each day. Currently Captain Rivera serves as the Divisional Youth and Candidates Secretary of the PRVI Division alongside his wife.

CAPTAIN JESSIE KELLY

Captain Jessie Kelly has been an officer for nine years, both at the corps and the DYS level. She has a BA in Early Childhood Education. Youth, teen, and young adult ministry are close to her heart, and have made up a huge part of her service as a Salvation Army employee, corps member, and officer. She enjoys murder mystery stories and books about building a culture of safety and vulnerability. She enjoys trips to Disney World with her husband, David Eric, and two beautiful daughters, Addy and Rosie. When life gets crazy, she often leans on Isaiah 43:1-2, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.”
