Programs & Curriculum

National Christian Education Department (CED) Content

We are partnering with The Salvation Army Christian Education Department at National Headquarters to provide curriculum for some of our most popular programs: Junior Soldiers, BOLD for Corps Cadets, Troops, Sunday School with Orange, and Special Observance Sundays.

Note: We are providing supplemental Troops content not available at the National level, including Club 316 and the Badges Comparison Chart. Please see below for these resources.

Curriculum

AVAILABLE FROM NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS

BOLD for Corps Cadets

A program aimed at 13-18 year-olds, this required program holds classes during the months of September through May, taking one month off in winter (either December or January).

Junior Soldiers

The Junior Soldier program is aimed at 7-14 year-olds. A month or more after seeking salvation, a young person may be accepted for Junior Soldiership if he or she is not a member of another church.

Special Observance Sundays

Special Observance Sundays are special programs to be observed either in Sunday school or in the Holiness Meeting, as outlined on the national calendar.

Sunday School (Orange)

Orange is a fun, creative new Sunday school curriculum that uses videos, music, creative games, and unique communication tools to engage with families and communities in their spiritual growth.

Adventure Corps

The Salvation Army Adventure Corps is a character-building program designed for boys in grades one through eight. Its purpose is to assist boys in developing their individuality and potential.

Girl Guards

The Salvation Army Girl Guard program emphasizes discipleship, evangelism, and the development of life skills. Aimed at girls in grades 6-12, it offers opportunities for building relationships with the youth who are members of the program.

Moonbeams

The Salvation Army Moonbeam program is specifically designed and written for kindergarten children. Moonbeams offers a variety of activities to help children develop their self-image and their image of God.

Sunbeams

The Salvation Army Sunbeam program emphasizes discipleship, evangelism, and the development of life skills. Aimed at girls in grades 1-5, it offers opportunities for building relationship with the youth who are members of the program.
