The Salvation Army in Bangor has a feeding program that serves a hot meal to our community six days a week. Due to the increased need for our program, we took down a wall to expand our dining area. In doing this we created a space that needed some TLC. Our local chapter of Partners For Peace reached out to us about doing a collaborative mural project with the youth of our corps. Together we created a mural that highlights the many services we provide to our community. Pictured are our Corps Cadets–Jared Willett, Isabelle Kirk, Brianna Dow, and Jeffrey Kirk Jr.–working on painting the mural. Throughout the summer our youth going through the Honor Jr. Soldier program will also be helping to complete the project. We are very excited to have a piece of art that represents who we are in Bangor created with the collaboration of our youth!
